The previous post made me think of this website….another fun one to browse. And it’s 100% solar powered… =)

I think it’s well worth the time to sit and browse this one for a little while….weird and fun. I found out about this from the Audiobulb site (a wonderful experimental/avant-garde label).
Rudy Rucker was recently a guest on neofiles / 10zm.tv talking about “natural computation” (interviews). I love how he argues that digital is indeed analogue, and refers to it as a “red herring”.

The SETI podcast is a good one, indeed. This week the history and future are discussed with various guests. I recommend checking out previous episodes as well, as they are thought-provoking and the hosts are pretty sarcastic. =)

I just recently learned that elephants have a rather keen way of communicating over long distances: Really Low Vibrations.
Elephant wiki - Scroll about halfway to “communication”. Also interesting is the fact that they know we cannot hear these frequencies, thus they up their pitch when communicating with us.

This is a cool little ambient application with snowflake graphics that appear as you’re listening. It’s not too mind-blowing, but cool to think someone took the time to do this. The music is quite pleasant…
So the Buddha Machine seems to have quite a little following. Robert Henke’s concept album on them was released recently, and I just found out about Kikapu label head, Pocka, using them in his latest release. Also, here is a compilation dedicated to these beautiful lo-fi ambient boxes.
