Conceptual Inspiration:
As some of my greatest inspiration is derived from peaceful winters in the Rocky Mountains, this mix follows in the spirit of Snow Drift acting as a sequel. This time the journey becomes slightly more defined by using music made specifically for the purpose of representing the vast character of snowscapes. From wispy winds and blowing snow, to shifting glaciers and crumbling cornices, this mix captures the diversity of a dynamic snowy landscape, this time concluding with a breakthrough of sunlight awakening the harsh environment's fragile inhabitants. Thanks to the two brilliant albums by Yagya, the debut specifically holding a snow theme, as well as the chilling and beautiful new Italian Glacial Movements label for making this sequel possible.
