Conceptual Inspiration:
This mix is a collection of music that is meant to stir the feelings of soaring across snow-covered landscapes with chilling arctic breezes and the elegant sound of lightly falling snow. Inspired by the ambient 1994 release on Barramundi records; "Barramundi - An Introduction to a Cooler World," the concept for Snow Drift was realized while simultaneously listening to the Barramundi album and driving amongst snow-capped peaks in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. An album later discovered that would have made an appearance on Snow Drift, and could appropriately serve as a sequel, is the Icelandic release by Yagya, "The Rhythm of Snow."
