Conceptual Inspiration:
"Lineage" is a concept representing the transcendental nature of electronic music and its influences. This project is a timeline of ambient music that begins with the most primitive and basic organic sounds, and progresses through to some of the most futuristic and intelligent sounds of current ambient music. Ambient music, in partiular, has thrived by spanning the genres that have divided music by reaching beyond cultural, geographic, and chronological boundaries. Represented here are artists that have been of great inspiration to me because of their ability to successfully reference the primitive through the application of modern technology.
