Meaning
(Daylight or dawn--strongly associated with light and life) Breakthrough, transformation, awakening, awareness. A new dawn or a major change of direction. Daylight clarity as opposed to nighttime uncertainty. Darkness is behind. Dagaz is the essence of natural daylight, the new light of dawn, and the strength of the sun. Spiritually, it is the divine light, the high point of the natural cycle of darkness-light-darkness. It signifies brightness, growth, progress, development, and sometimes fundamental change. A time to plan or embark upon an enterprise. The power of change directed by your own will. Hope/happiness, the ideal. Security and certainty. Growth and release. Achievement and prosperity, a successful conclusion to a passage. Balance point, the place where opposites meet.

Significance to Metameme
When the logo for Metameme was designed by the four founding members, it was in no association with the rune Dagaz. It wasn't until later that the similarity between the symbols and their meanings were realized.
